•••Gemmie•••
Glittering Mischief Maker
| Easy-going | Impish | Sensitive | "Flash! ...Hehe, Gotcha." |

|
A clingy dragon with a bit of a mischievous streak, Gemmie is best known for his namesake: the bright pink glittering gems that adorn his body. He's rather proud of them - he knows just exactly how to shift his body in almost any lighting to create spectacular displays of sparkling light. Unfortunately, he tends to use this ability for pranks and tomfoolery, often blinding others when they least expect it. However, Gemmie means no harm. Truth be told, he's actually quite sensitive, and simply confronting him will get him to quickly back down. Gemmie was discovered by Valor and Phantom when the two took a wrong turn into a peculiar nursery. The heroic Coatl was immediately enchanted with Gemmie, offering to take the Guardian back home with them, much to Phantom's dismay. Since joining Fable Grove, Gemmie's had his more impish tendencies curbed by the no-nonsense Guard Captain, Anios, thanks to his training under her. Said training didn't last long, however. While Gemmie was more than capable of following her instructions, it quickly became evident that fighting just wasn't for him. He was strong, sure, but he often flinched under her orders and could never bring himself to strike the Ridgeback with full force. Thankfully, Anios realized this and eventually stopped calling him in for training all together, much to Gemmie's relief. It was during this time that he was consoled by Triumph, an eager little Coatl and twin cousin to Valor. Much like her cousin, she was enamored with Gemmie when he first arrived, gleefully following him everywhere with starry eyed wonder. Gemmie wasn't quite sure what to make of her at first, politely tolerating her all the while, but he's since grown to appreciate her enthusiasm. The two have become close friends and often play together. Gemmie also seems to have started expressing interest in this performance stuff that Triumph is so fond of, quietly observing rehearsals with curious interest... |

Relationships
Triumph Gemmie was unsure of her at first, but Triumph's constant enthusiasm and encouragement have made the two nearly inseparable. The Coatl harbors a sisterly affection for him, eager to tag along with him wherever he goes and indulging in whatever mischievous ideas he may have - within reason, of course. She often climbs up on his back, hitching rides on her "trusty, sparkling steed." Gemmie doesn't mind, of course - he feels more comfortable around others with Triumph around. Plus, in return, she polishes his gems, making them even more brilliant and sparkling all the while! All in all, Gemmie is rather happy with his adopted (older) little sister and always looks forward to their time together. Valor When Gemmie isn't sure what to do, Valor is the first dragon he usually goes to. Admittedly, Gemmie isn't super close to the Coatl. He seems to carry a level of uncertainty around Valor, perhaps fearing he would scold him for his antics. This is also thanks to Valor convincing him to train under Anios. Valor simply hoped they could maybe fight evil together one day, but when he saw how much Gemmie struggled, the Coatl couldn't help but feel guilty for pushing him. He remains friendly and a bit apologetic towards the Guardian, and is notably more gentle and lenient towards him when it comes to his pranks. In return, Gemmie's also gained a small level of respect for Valor now that he experienced firsthand what sort of training he undergoes. |
Anios
Gemmie is understandably scared and respectful of her, but that's the usual reaction from most newcomers to Fable Grove. It wasn't helped much by the fact that he trained under her for a short while, enduring her angry barking and heavy sparring. Thankfully, she quickly realized how training simply wasn't for him and mercifully dismissed him. While Gemmie greatly appreciates this (she'd even tried to use a softer tone when she broke the news), he generally avoids her and simply refuses to pull pranks when he knows she's around.
Cypher
The two haven't really spoken, but they have a sort of silent friendship over playing hide and seek together. Gemmie had been watching Cypher train is stealth abilities, which rely on darkness. As a joke, the Guardian flashed his gemlight at him, catching Cypher off guard and revealing his position. Cypher didn't seem to mind, though - he apparently welcomed the challenge and silently invited Gemmie to shine at him again. Now Gemmie has a fun little pastime to play with clan's resident ninja, while Cypher now has a new training partner to help him sharpen his stealth abilities against light.
