Frothr

One thing you'll quickly discover from being underground, the rocks do indeed whisper to themselves. Wind whistles through the porous volcanic rocks from above creating ghostly sounds as they probably discuss these strange furry giants walking through them. And Frothr hated it. The tunnels of his home were silent and cold and left him alone in his thoughts. These tunnels made him long for death and couldn't shut up. "Quit whining!" Hellir hissed, glaring at him before she resumed her careful digging. Another furry body slid up beside him and Athame gave him a sheepish grin. "Don't worry about the heat, it stops being a problem when your body finally stops trying produce all that fur." Frothr gave him a weak smile, grateful for the encouragement. Hellir sighed turning around and gently bumped her nose against his. "The wind drove me mad at first" she admitted, "but it's nothing compared to the lava chambers here. Trust me you'll find them comforting after walking through one of those." "So uh," Frothr took a position besides his mate as his monstrous claws tore through the soft stone and eyed the newest member to their little party as the small gaoler awkwardly shuffled his feet, "when are we going to walk into a... chamber full of fiery death... exactly?" "Oh you want to see one?" Hellir teased putting an alarmed look on Ramses' face. "You'll definitely notice if you're near one, everything is going to become very HOT very fast."

The group carried on in comfortable silence for a while until they were knocked from their feet by a massive rumbling. "IS IT AN ERUPTION?!" Athame roared. As sudden as the angry growling from the earth came it stopped, leaving the frightened gaolers alone with the gossiping rocks. ".... that wasn't a volcano..." Hellir breathed. "Are you sur-" "There isn't a volcano around here for miles with that much power, we're at the very edge of fire's domain." They stared at each other. Frothr spoke first, "So... if it wasn't the only thing around here that could knock giant dragons down... what was it."
