Mirion was a very specific pick as a Shadow Flight Ambassador. The Lucidlight Clan was already in rather good terms with Shadow compared to most other Light clans, thanks to some of its closest allies being apart of said flight. However, the monarchs at the time had wished to obtain ambassadors from every flight anyways.

A shadow dragon of Mirion's type was quite difficult to find; the monarchs had wanted a serious, no-nonsense attitude, a trait that was hard to find in shadow dragons. Fortunately, Mirion had been raised and tempered to have such an attitude. Except, there was a very important reason for that. The guardian had a special "curse" that had been dubbed as "Beastclanthropy" in which the cursed dragon in question would, after exposure to a full moon, morph into a strange beast-like creature that looked like a cross between a dragon and a furred Beastclan member. Side effects of Beastclanthropy that had been documented included higher levels of aggression, but not much else was known due to its rarity. For that reason, Mirion had to be carefully taught to stay calm and composed, and keep his attitude cool. This attitude of course, made him an excellent candidate for Ambassador training, even if he would miss out on a few laughs with his flight.

Mirion takes extra care to avoid most other dragons during the full moon, as an extra precaution against accidentally losing his temper and hurting others. Thankfully, despite his curse, the other dragons of the clan treat him like any other dragon, with kindness and respect.

As stated before, relations with the Shadow Flight are surprisingly positive. There hasn't been much discourse with Shadow in the clan's history, and both sides intend to keep it that way.
