Cosmic Labyrinthian
Daedalus.
The middle child in a clutch of five, and the easiest forgotten, even by himself.
The most thoughtful and intellectual of his kin, but not... all there.
Obsessive, distant, quick-thinking yet slow-speaking.
A multitasker, a stargazer, a potion-maker and experimenter.
One often found lost and alone in the night, staring up into the sky.
"Speaking to the spirits of the stars".
He is so trapped within his own mind that he barely registers the world around him.
Yet, he is so content that no one even thinks to ask him what he is working towards.
No one questions what drives his crude, unfocused obsession.
If he was asked, it is likely that he wouldn't even know how to answer.
Daedalus was a very logical, critical child. Antisocial, cynical, quiet, easily forgotten. Always looking for a way to be anywhere other than where he was. He took to reading books and stargazing to escape the world around him. He would scan the skies for hours on end, finding the constellations only to return home and read about their stories. Eventually he started to look to the lone stars between these constellations, making up stories for each of them, imagining them almost as friends to whom he told tales.
One day, a single star spoke back to him.
