After a long day of foraging, Undergrowth came back to the clan with a basket of red delicious apples that she was eager to share. But upon opening the basket, she revealed not the apples that everyone was so eager to eat, but a round-bellied sleeping coatl hatchling wearing a satisfied grin! The clan was mildly annoyed (rightfully so) and scolded the bleary-eyed hatchling. To repay the clan for the apples he'd eaten, Apple offered to work in the orchards on the condition that they take him in.

Now, Apple spends his time in the orchard picking apples... Well, that's what he should be doing at least! Most of the time he can be seen rolling around on the grass or soaking up sunlight as he naps. If at any time the orchard is threated by a stray caterpillar or beetle however, Apple will fiercely defend it and pounce upon any unwanted intruders.

When I first saw Apple, I tried to figure out why his name fit him so well. His colours didn't really resemble well, an apple but he still reminded me of one. Then a while later, I saw him again when he'd been put up for sale. Then it came to me. He has a body of bark and wings of dewy leaf. His glimmering belly is like a sun drenched orchard. But where does the 'apple' come in you may ask? Well, his eyes look just like perfectly round, sweet, ripe apples. So really he's like a mini apple tree!

Now his broadcast message should make more sense.
