The eldest of several hatchlings, she left her clan's lair in the Gladeveins to prove her independence. She wound up joining the ranks of a new clan during a famine as a healer's apprentice before the current leader succumbed to his illness. Her newfound loyalty to this clan was what forced her to participate in the trials laid out for potential leaders in order to protect it from another competitor. She competed before the council and several elders to take over the clan, and was granted her position despite losing the majority of the events.
Kahu is a patient but reluctant leader and prefers to let her clan solve their own issues for as long as possible before stepping in. She takes on tasks with a facade of grace and levelheadedness.
