MYLING, THE HOSPITABLE
Myling has recently joined Mavenlark as a "Hospitality Administrator", a position that involves anything from ensuring the safe housing of the clan's many refugees to personally arranging catering for visiting starlets. As the work requires a certain amount of flexibility, so too is this spry elder - and anyone who treats her otherwise is surely in for a verbal walloping. She had spent her lifetime's younger years at the helm of the Southern Icefield's coziest lodge, an inheritance from her parents after their passing. Active as she was in its operations, age has forced her joints to concede, and physical labor is no longer possible for her. Yet her mind remains lithe, and her ability to organize, unmatched. Gathering volunteers, gauging interest, twisting the arms of any opposition - these mind games are among some of Myling's favorite when she does not break for a rousing round of mahjong with her fellow clan elders. If anything, aging has given Myling the advantage in getting the go-ahead for fundraisers, drives, and other charitably-minded events. Dragons are less likely to deny a sweetly elder tundra than they are a young hotheaded one. Few dragons have a poor word to say against Myling, and in a city-clan, that's an impressive feat. Being appointed not only as the Hospitality Administrator but as a universal grandmother to those in need of one, Myling always has a cup of tea and cookies available for her guests, clients, and visitors - a simple business trick Myling picked up to soften minds and hearts to her propositions. Though she tends to tackle the world through a business perspective, she is not emotionless and is genuinely concerned with entertaining the clan's visitors. Frequently she does not get to enjoy the fruits of her own labor, being put in a position of moderating whatever event, schedule, or occurrence she has planned, and a small part of her wishes that age will, eventually, force her out of this role too. Still, work is Myling's joy in life, seeing it as a very purposeful application of her talents: and stopping any time soon does not seem to be on her mind.
