Biography

7wv9OeJ.png Uh-oh, looks like this explorer wandered a little too far from her own lair, MoonlilyluvsCas, and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. If you don't want a traveler in return, you can send her to the Rest Hub. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful! 7wv9OeJ.png

Mirror dragons are travelers.
They are formidable beasts who can spend days hunting, forming huge packs of hungry dragons. And they like it this way.

It is no wonder then, that Tambora would leave her home in the Shifting Expanse to join the packs of the Scarred Wasteland, home of her species. She stayed with a first one for a while, then left for another... Which she also left a week or so later. She didn't want to feel like she settled down -not that mirrors typically do. She kept on searching for new hunting grounds, her young, muscular, tireless body leading her always forward, thirsting for adventure, toward unexplored territories.

It was in light territory where she first heard of the tournament. A huge tournament that spanned all territories known to dragonkind; open to any who could fight. The tournament was similarly brutal: anything goes, and killing wasn't murder as all parties knew the rules. It was rumored that if any of the tournament participants killed someone that wasn't participating, however, the obscured organization that managed the tournament would eradicate the offending participant.

Tambora didn't even need to know what the prize was before she knew she would participate. She was a hunter, and hunting was what she did best.
Zikul wrote:
With her victories in the tournaments rendering her a bit of a legend, Tambora soon found both ups and downs with being famous like that. The dragons she came across in her travels through the stormy lands of the Shifting expanse came in three variations: either they didn't know her at all, or they feared her, or they admired her. Some from the last category even wanted to challenge her to spars - albeit preferably not to the death.

It for certain had become more interesting to travel the world as a combatant, ready to accept challenges of worthy opponents.
WurldPeaz wrote:
She traveled next to the frozen landscapes of the southern most continent. There at the fortress of ends she met a true warrior clan that prided on hunting and fighting. Her champion status meant little to some of the warriors here. Those that were Elite status were not impressed by her achievements but, those the not of the elite were. She sparred with some of the lesser warriors in friendly matches. During the dusk hours on the frozen landscape she was allowed to hunt with the elites. The slippery terrain was difficult to keep up with them but she managed. The prey the brought down and the speed and efficiency they did it proved why they were a class above the other warriors. As much as she enjoyed herself here and fit in amongst them, she had to move on before she got too settled in and comfortable.

Tambora soon found her self amongst the abiding boneyard. The land reeked of decaying life. However the dragons that resides in it were very friendly and welcoming. Except the group that called themselves The Council of the Twisted. She was kidnapped by them but soon rescued by a group of ancients who gifted her a bandana as a good luck charm for her travel. She wanted to stay longer but decided to leave so the Council wouldn’t capture her again.

After leaving the boneyard to avoid the Council's capture she traveled far to the North where the land became ice and snow. Traveling until she could no longer see her own claws in front of her she decided to take a rest to wait out the blizzard until she could see enough to travel again but without a lair to keep her warm this was a dangerous risk. The next day Tambora awoke to find she had fallen asleep in the middle of the blizzard but instead of being cold was warm as she looked around to see a warm garden full of crystal flowers in a cave. The lair's inhabitants welcomed her and explained the crystal flower garden was a place for tired dragons so far to the North to rest but some decide to stay and join the family of dragons. Knowing she would be safe here she decided to stay and enjoy the rare sight few dragons got to see until she regained her strength. After regaining her energy Tambora knew it was time for her to move on and thanked the gardens inhabitants for their kindness before moving on.

Before she left the Southern Icefields for good, Tambora stopped by a lair full of ever-so-chatty Spirals. Upon learning of her adventures in the tournament and on her travels, the curious dragons pestered her with questions day and night. Recounting her many victories was fun for sure, and especially the hatchlings looked up to her with stars in their eyes. Still, she didn't stay here for long - settling down and telling stories all day simply wasn't what she was born for, and every one of her muscles ached to rejoin the hunt.

After a bit of travel, Tambora found herself in The Ashfall Waste, or more specifically the Blacksand Annex, for the first time. She stayed with a small unnamed lair filled with dragons of all kinds. Sadly there were no other Mirrors, but she did run into a few other traveling dragons. The dragons treated her kindly and she always had a meal to eat, but it just didn't feel right. She longed to be traveling again, to feel the adrenaline of the unknown, and so the following morning the mirror left without a trace and continued on to her next stop in her journey.
Lirillith wrote:
Tambora kept traveling, sleeping in trees or caves, as she headed north, until she reached the Viridian Labyrinth. At the marshy edges of the Gladeveins she ran into a pair of Mirrors hunting for a meal, and joined them eagerly; they were good hunters, familiar with the terrain and in tune with each other, and they brought down several large geese and muskrats. Then they surprised her by building a fire to cook the meat, rather than just tearing into it raw; clearly they'd adopted a different way of life than she preferred. Even so, she followed them back to their clan's territory, and stayed there for a time. They had strong warriors and talented hunters, but the only adventure and excitement to be had were outside the clan's territory; their lair was really more of a town or village, and when she tried to start fights or sparring matches, meddling onlookers would get upset or summon one of the warriors to break things up. Bored, she soon left.
coolrat wrote:
She headed west towards the Scarred Wastelands, now finding the walled city of Opovder. It was there she met the strangest Mirror, not only was he completely happy where he was, he was a king. It unnerved her to no end, and not even sparring in the clan's arena could take her mind off things. The entire clan felt so out of place, yet a small voice in her head began to whisper how great it was, how there was no reason to leave.

A voice that definitely needed to be ignored.

Finding herself in Wind territory, Tambora found a small band of rogues. Most of them were happy to spar, and they made good competitors, but with so few opponents, Tambora soon grew bored. She stayed longer than she meant to though, finding the quiet backwater cliffs and unsettling whistling of the wind peaceful. But despite this, she soon grew ornery and left abruptly.
