Malena almost reluctantly took Keil, from the Shifting Expanse, under her wing when they first met. Keil is loud, obnoxious, and a nuisance to even the strongest-willed of people. Despite it all, he's got this sort of charm that makes him just likeable enough to keep around. Plus, his knowledge and proficiency for all things mechanical and technological makes him a valuable asset to the team - leading him to take on the role as the Engineer Progenitor during the great battle (information tbd).
