You are made of stars. Her father had always said that to her and her siblings, curled up together as they watched the twinkling dance of lights across the night sky. He had always pointed out each and every one, teaching them about the constellations they were named after until they were all too tired to stay awake and dozed off out in the open.
Sometimes, a fallen star can take on the shape of a dragon, too.
That was another story they loved to hear from their parents at bedtime, but Andromeda has always wondered if there was any truth to it. She's always been curious and thoughtful, open to new ideas, maybe even the tiniest bit gullible. She's often gazed at her wings, wondering if the patterns there really were moving across them like clouds in the night sky. This was never mentioned to the rest of her family - she wasn't sure if they'd really get it, despite how close as they all were. Besides, if anyone was to be a fallen star, wouldn't it be her father with his flanks always reflecting the night sky?
Still, it's hard not to wonder.
