Vega gazes deep into the Imperial's magenta eyes, eyes that brim with so much magic that he practically sees the great night sky in them. What those eyes cannot see...He wonders if he is even capable. Regardless, the Spiral quietly lets Romsyn pick his cards, observing his movements closely before just as silently turning the first one over.
"Five of Cups, upright," he begins, "I have seen this plenty. A dragon stands before a surging river, with three empty cups before them and two cups behind them that yet stand. It is a sign that your focus is on a recent disappointment - That you may be focusing toomuch on it." Vega flicks his tail quickly at this. "You do not seem the brooding, pessimistic sort...But something must have come up recently, I am sure. Step back, look into your heart...And prepare to let go. All things must end."
He turns over the next card, contemplating if the Imperial can even see said cards that well...Vega himself is about the size of the average Imperial's eye, and that, much of the time, terrifies him. Yes...Imperials are quite the creatures. He is lucky his mate is simply another Spiral.
"Six of Swords, inverted." Vega runs a claw along the edge of the table, studying the card closely. "See the two dragons in the card? Mother and child, they are, and grieving, as the veiled head of the mother indicates. They cross a river by boat, with six swords overhead...And inverted, this means you cannot move on. Something holds you down, and I may only provide the same advice as with the previous card: Let go. Your grief is not worth revisiting, not worth lingering on. Let it fly out, like a butterfly escaping its chrysalis...And let yourself be just as free."
Though for your kind, Vega thinks, I can imagine you are ALWAYS weighed down. He tries not to laugh at his own joke, and manages to hide all but a snort as he reveals the final card.
"Knight of Pentacles, upright," he says, "Standing with his familiar beside him, the knight stills as he holds the coin in his hand and contemplates what stands ahead. And before him is a field, plowed with the utmost care. What comes ahead, what you wish for, will take work before a stable life is granted. Are you prepared to take this challenge? To plow that field, long and mundane as it may seem? For without that work and preparation, the crops die, and the village falls...I ramble...But prepare for that work."
He returns the cards to his deck, looking Romsyn in the eye once more.
"Whatever you are bogged down by, know that it does not end all at once," Vega concludes, "It will carry lasting effects. But you...I believe in you to power through this. Hardships build character, after all."
