Demontooth grew up catching critters, but never grew up enough to stop. And why would she? She had spent her whole life travelling with her family and writing about fascinating little beasties, and was overflowing with love for the world around her. Eventually, she thought, she might become a professor, but her work in field research wasn’t done yet: she still had to finish her books, and was set on documenting as many different creatures as she could meet. Her studies eventually brought her to the Starwood Strand, where she met a ragtag collection of eccentric dragons not dissimilar to herself, who allowed her to camp in their cave, where she then stayed. For an unassuming little cave in the rural Starfall Isles, it seemed to have had that effect on almost all of the other members of the group. But Demontooth had made her first real friends here— Grapes and Rat, a couple of alchemists always happy to talk to her about their new theories and her studies (and she was always happy for the excuse to find them antlers some creature or another, or sheds from her snakes), and Irn, a friendly farmer who would always come show her if he found an animal wandering his vegetable plot, knowing how much she loved them.
