Duke Richard fancies himself a commander.
He wears the fanciest armour in the entire lair (nobody knows where he got the money to buy it, but the smart money's on 'scammed it out of Kaiba with cute words') and draws up guard schedules for the other martially inclined dragons in the lair and makes inspiring speeches- all of which, to his credit, he's actually very good at (even the armour wearing. He pulls it off beautifully).
What is sort of noticeable though is that his own name turns up only very occasionally on his rotas, and that he spends most of what little time he spends 'on duty' looking rather nervously over his shoulder. He has apparently never actually been in anything resembling a proper fight, and his actual ability to conduct himself in one is somewhat in doubt.
The other fighters seem to effectively treat him as a kind of mascot, though, which at least appears to avoid too many hurt feelings. One gets the sense that they prefer him to keep his nose out of the actual guarding duties.
