Biography
Taraguia was introduced by a nearby Wind clan during a gathering in the Steppes. While the clan leaders were discussing matters of foraging, territories, and other happenings, the younger dragons were allowed to mingle in a safe area in the expansive grasslands, surrounded on all sides by watchful groups of their elders.
As the gathering drew to a close, it was discovered that Taraquia had taken a liking to the still-shy yojng mirror dragon Tyleraeus, and true to her bloodline, was sort of watching out for him, snorting threateningly at any who made comments about his origin. He was of the Wind clan now, she declared stubbornly, more concerned with the truth of the statement than the possibility of betrayal or the details of his arrival.
Halcyon knew that her barely-founded clan could use some new blood, and could see the relief in Tyleraeus's eyes at his new acquaintance's presence. As Taraguia's clan prepared to leave, she approached the founder. After several minutes of discussion, it was decided that the green guardian would be allowed to stay, should she wish to do so. The young one agreed, cementing an alliance of sorts between the two clans. A fair portion of treasure from the hoard was offered to Taraguia's parents as a token of appreciation and support.
The gathering was a great whirling success, and the melodic warbling calls of dozens of Wind dragons in concert ushered in a new day for the clan.
As she grew, Taraguia became a proud and skillful hunter. She helps to organize the others into a cohesive meal-catching unit, and is usually the last to return to the lair at night, often dragging several kills behind her on the wooden cart left near the forest's edge for such occasion. Particularly well-preserved trophies, such as bird skulls and talons of various species, are combined with twine and beads into decorations, which she treasures greatly.
