Large and active dragon clans always generate tension. Dragons consume many resources, and fights over territory are common. Beastclans also compete for the same things, making conflicts even worse. If relations with other clans sour, Maya's dispatched to smooth things over. She also attempts negotiations with beastclans with some help.

Not all the hazards come from the outside world. The Empyreal clan has a rainbow of personalities and species living together, making misunderstandings and arguments inevitable. She also works as a mediator for minor disputes within the clan.

Maya is quick to jump to the defense of the meeker Empyreal. However, she's not fond of anyone disruptive or impulsive, no matter what their intentions are.
