Biography
Gin is a devotee of the Shadowbinder who always longed to pass on his knowledge to the next generation. After travelling around the Tangled Wood for a few years, he moved to a Light clan for love of a fae named Lamia. He was happy there, but when they laid their first nest, he slowly realised that none of his children would have a connection to the Shadowbinder. On the last day before the eggs hatched, he made a plan to rectify this.
Just before their first egg hatched, he took it to the Tangled Wood and prayed to the Shadowbinder to bless the egg. To his delight, the egg slowly began to fade to a darker gold colour But even the approval of the Shadowbinder can't change a light egg to a shadow one, and the dragon that hatched was a mix of both elements. Her eyes were dark, like her egg, but still the lamp-like yellow of a light dragon. Her body twinkled with light too, glowing purple flowers etched across her wings, shining like the Lightweaver but in the colours of the Shadowbinder.
Confused and upset, Gin abandoned the hatchling in the forest, and fled back home to Lamia. He told her that one of the eggs had been stolen by the beastclans. She grieved, naturally, and they sent out search parties to look for the egg but it was never found. The whole incident was eventually forgotten. Little did he know, in the Tangled Wood, his daughter was growing stronger. And if she ever found him, there'd be hell to pay.
