I want to be loved again. unconditionally. and feel like I'm truly worth something to you. Because right now I wish I didn't exist. I want to be wanted. and I wish you'd be fully satisfied with just me. But that's impossible, because I'm not enough for you.

Please. I just want to know that I am loved again, to feel loved again. I honestly can't remember the last time you were genuinely warm towards me. You tell me you're comfortable with me. but why does that feel like an excuse to be mean? It wouldn't hurt to be nice. Always so cold and distracted now. Getting mad at me over trivial things. I wonder when I stopped enjoying my time with you. When did I start avoiding you? Supportive. proud of me. affectionate. but you could never. All your empty promises. can you blame me for finding someone better? someone who prioritizes me when you didn't?

Unfortunately priorities shift, and I see that now. It's strange that I always end up noticing after. After everything is over already. tell me, is it good or bad that I can pinpoint exactly when you switched your tone. You really never did anything for me. Not once, not ever. But I gave you my all and you only kept taking. I know now that I was a ghost, for you, you always looked right through me. Again, with the false promises, I was just never a priority for you. I'm glad that I now have someone who makes me feel safer than I have ever felt with you.

- - - Although Tsuyu originally had a higher affinity for magic, he opted for physical combat since he saw that it was faster than casting. As a result, although he still knows how to perform the most complicated and dangerous of spells, he no longer has the mana pool to do so. This was the case until he befriended a magic nymph, who came to his aid when he mistakenly used a spell beyond his capabilities.

- - - The nymph had been observing him train at the edges of the Frigid Floes from the Starfall Isles for the past few months and found Tsuyu's persistence to be extremely admirable. However, on this fateful day, it was late in arriving at its usual observation spot. When it got there, it felt something was off, since it saw no activity and everything felt eerily silent. The nymph drifted over the border and found Tsuyu collapsed on the ground, body convulsing. As soon as it recognized this as extreme mana exhaustion, it channeled all of its gathered magic into Tsuyu to restore his consciousness. Tsuyu awoke to an angry magic nymph squeaking in his face, and after thanking the nymph, asked it to be his familiar as he still wanted to train in magic. The nymph felt a connection with Tsuyu at this moment and accepted under the pretense that he was too reckless to be left alone. (Yes, the magic nymph is a tsundere.)

- - - From then on, Tsuyu trained with his familiar and devoted all his time to studying the arcane arts. As of now, he can use summons and perform multiple 9th tier magical spells with the magic nymph supporting him. While Tsuyu is still a physical combat user, he is more well known around Sornieth for his work as an arcanist.
