Backstory
Myria grew up in the Shifting Expanse, under the tutelage of her fellow lightning dragons. She quickly became fascinated by the study of animatronics and robotics, particularly in the creation of automatons. She devoted her time to designing and building simple automatons powered by machinery and lightning magic, which soon became more complex and more efficient. Upon maturing, she set out to find a home in another clan, where she hoped she could be of use with her clever machines. She originally intended to settle in the vicinity of the Sunbeam Ruins, where the ample supply of books would augment her already extensive knowledge of science, but one of her favorite automatons, a tiny songbird, went haywire and disappeared into the Tangled Woods. Not willing to lose the bird, she went after it, eventually losing its signal in the Driftwood Drag. There, she ran into Ash, a handsome, charming pearlcatcher. He was clearly interested in her, but Myria had no interest in him. She was only here for the bird. He spoke with her time and time again, but still she held her distance. One day, though, Ash came to her with a gift: he had searched long and hard and had found her songbird. Myria was surprised that he would do that for her. She stayed in the area while she repaired the bird, and began to take more notice of Ash. By the time the songbird was fully repaired, she had fallen in love with him. They are now bondmates, and have three children: Calliope, Tideshadow, and Sililuuth.
Personality
Myria is an intelligent, thoughtful dragonness. She is clever with the wires and tiny metal parts required to build her automatons. This study often consumes her: she will spend an entire day in Fin's lab with her work, and then fall asleep as soon as she is curled up beside Ash. The only other study that she pursues as fiercely as animatronics is the creation of prosthetic body parts, such as new legs or wings for dragons that have lost them somehow. She has already built several contraptions in this study, including the device she wears on her wings, which increases her flight power, and her gloves, which allow her to communicate remotely with her automatons. She is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of Kaegro's wing braces. She spends most of her small amount of free time enjoying the company of her family.
