Tektite is the eldest of the children of chef Emerald and author Hematite that remained in Clan Guardianite. She was born in the midst of Menireach Town's takeover by a criminal kingpin, and as such grew up into a rebellious teenager. Despite that, after Menireach was saved by the appearance of Thorn and Thistle, Tektite wised up and put her inherited telekinetic powers into good use - becoming a budding young investigator of the paranormal, specialising in unknown digital technology that Melladion seems to be hiding in that old windmill of his...

As elder sister to Verdalite and Apatite, she is of course the always responsible role model promoting her more well-behaved siblings to "live a little!"
