.....Mire Mauler - Wandering Warrior
horizontal-border-1-item-space-attempt-3.png

I am a servant of the Plaguebringer, competing with my sisters in arms to spread Her infection to the regions the beastclans are holding. We fight with Contagious Moxie!

My chosen territory to conquer is the Mire. I have trained in the Mire Mauler fighting specialty to prepare me for my quest.

My goals are to train as many future fighters as I can in this specialty to aid in my battle against the beastclans, and to produce as many pups as I can to become future warriors and attendants of my Lady, the Plaguebringer.

My army will be larger and stronger than that of my competitors and will topple the beastclan hordes that have taken up residence in the Mire!

It had been only a few days. Roach had, on her quest to train and fight for the honour of her Lady the Filthy One, came upon a small gathering of dragons on the outskirts of the Abiding Boneyard. When Roach went up and told them of her quest, they eagerly accepted her with open wings. The clan turned out to just be a collection of wanderers, the injured or the outcast sent into the Plaguemother’s domain. So it was quite a shock when Roach was told that despite the fact that all of these dragons had survived the Contagion and even thrived, none of them were incredibly strong. They were unable to go deep into the wilderness for food and materials. So, Roach promised to train them so they were no longer such a disgrace to the Plague name.

Oh how she regretted it. Roach and the clan’s founders, a lumbering Guardian and a rather skittish Fae, had been in the swamps- also known as the Mire- so that the two may gain more proper experience fighting tough beasts. After a while, they were exhausted, dragging their limbs along through sheer willpower alone. And that’s when it happened. Past a few trees, going round a bend in the path... only to come face to face with a Wartoad. Needless to say, they were obliterated. Roach had no time to ready her attack, and the other two were too weak to even raise a claw in defence.

When they’d sufficiently emptied the clan’s food storage, Roach was ready for a round two, hopping around and snarling at even the smallest signs of life.

... except maybe not this soon, since the Wartoad popped up again within minutes, its booming ‘ribbets’ scaring the Fae into the undergrowth... only to get swatted like a fly by the Wartoad’s hind leg. The Guardian, once again, didn’t even get a chance to strike before being flattened in a one-sided contest of weight. Roach, of course, held on for much longer. The Mire’s boss and a Mirror traded blows. It took a while of effort, but Roach even managed to terribly injure the Wartoad, ‘half-health’, you could say. She was strong, but unfortunately not strong enough. With just enough strength to drag the two dragons back, Roach retreated.

Maybe that’s enough of the Mire for one day. Conquest in the name of the Plaguemother was taking longer than initially expected...
