Kya is a surprisingly soft dragon for an ice flight. She is great when utilizing her antenna and orb to detect other dragons' emotions and feelings and so she uses them as a part of her career. Although she plays the caring role she tends to stay emotionally disconnected from other dragons so her empathic ways do not screw her up big time when one of them is in a pinch. She has learned to be cold on the inside and warm on the outside. Although this is arguably not the healthiest way to live 24/7 as she does, it does work alright for her job. Some may say that seems heartless but her heart is in the right place. When she isn't working as a therapist she is working as an ice mage. She is skilled with a few fancy tricks and then some actual ice damage. She is greater at defenses though and uses her ice magic to freeze herself in a cocoon within a thin layer of ice to act as armor when she really needs to. This absorbs most of the damage and she can also freeze others like this to slow it down. Her skin is normally frosty cold because of it, but it is well worth it if any of her patients get testy with her.
She wants to help with the pollution problem her clan is facing. They want to use forges to power their towers but they don't want to pollute the Windswept Plateau and anger the gods with it. She suggests that they try and use natural magical means to help reduce the amount of pollution being released and they are attempting to find ways to do that with her help. They believe her ice can help catch the pollution and even it out long enough for them to properly dispose of it, but they aren't sure at this point in time.
