Tempest is a rare subspecies of fae which are manifested from jewelry of some sort. They look and act like jewelry for most of their existence, although they are living beings. Tiny trinkets of metal and gemstone, they will often adorn very rich dragons necks or claws. But this one did not choose a rich dragon to adorn.

She was one who knew the plight of a dragon meant to sit and look pretty. She had done so for most of her formative years, been a trinket for other dragons to stare at and drool over. Ametrine was a dragon who would understand her existence and could take care of her. This was why Tempest chose to manifest as her favorite necklace, a sparkling copper and cerulean piece that Ametrine polished every day.

Ametrine was not surprised to see her. She'd met many of these jewelry box fae's before, in her old clan. They had been sought out and bought like real jewelry, As opposed to being treated like real dragons. Ametrine always thought they looked uncomfortable on the hands and necks of the garish guardians, who had bought their lives and sought to look beautiful with the bodies of other dragons.

Tempest looked different from the other faes. She looked at peace in her hoard of gemstones and golden chains. After getting to know eachother, Tempest whispered her name to Ametrine, and told her to treasure it as she treasured her own freedom. She often whispered to Ametrine her opinions and soon, they became best of friends.
