Those born from the chaotic magic of the Arcanist know better than anyone that elemental natures are a roll of the dice: some dragons are born with grand magical abilities, while others are born with debilitating deformations. Chillane, the clan's Ice Flight ambassador, can identify strongly with the latter: his ice background gave him a significantly lowered body heat, while not providing him with any increased ability to withstand the cold.

Using a specially-commissioned steam-powered exoskeleton he ordered from the mechanics of the Ashfall Wastes, Chillane is able to keep himself at a comfortable temperature, though it feels unbearably hot to those near him. Fortunately, Chillane has never been a particularly tactile or touchy dragon, and doesn't mind others giving him a wide berth. If anything, he appreciates the extra pressure his heated exoskeleton puts on those he is in tough negotiations with.

Needless to say, Chillane is not particularly popular with the Gienah Archipelago's governing body. The islands' Gaoler population, at least, feels more comfortable with a representative of the Icewarden nearby--as long as he is not too close.
