ABOUT

▾ Since she was old enough to toddle out of the nursery at night while the other hatchling were sleeping, Eta Carinae -Carina for short- has been fascinated with the stars. She befriended her first telescope before she could even speak, and would spend hours up past her bedtime learning to look for and recognize Sorineth's summer constellations. It wasn't long before she was dragging her mothers outside on clear nights so they could share in a passing meteor shower or solar flare with their prodigious daughter.
▾ Carina's birth mother, Heimdallr, and her wife Bifrost, are two of the Galehart clan's oldest and most well-respected members. They always wanted to raise a child together, and when the pair finally found a stud they liked, Carina was hatched. Their daughter loves her parents, and her home clan, but her real passion is further beyond the atmosphere than most dragons -especially a land-bound snapper- can ever hope to reach. Carina contents herself with simply studying celestial bodies, and draping herself in shimmering silks that remind her of her love. But her passion for astrology and the magic of the stars cannot be quelled, and Carina has begun her search for a proper mentor in the astral sciences. ▾ Carina has her eye on III, the most powerfully arcane dragon in the clan, to teach her. But III is reclusive, a strange and incomprehensible being who many have labeled a dangerous monster. They live far on the outskirts of Galehart territory in a private observatory that is well-guarded by their own arcane creations. And Carina is not the only prospective student vying for their attention. But she is patient and good-natured, and willing to persistently wait as long as necessary for III to allow her to enter their observatory and study their secrets.
