lore ideas: escaped a life of servitude to effuvial crows alongside her mate Roman. the two were tired of being treated as lesser beings; regarded as decorative pets for their red plumage. Ran away from their home in search of freedom. Stumbled upon the Kokai Clan; a clan where crows of all kinds are welcome and equal. Decide to stay and join the clan as its the one place in the word they felt like they were on the same standing as true effuvials. They don't mind working; since the entire clan works together no matter their variant.
Octavia was forced to hold her tongue and act obedient and demure her entire life for her own livelyhood. Roman was less inclinced to hold his tongue and often got in trouble for trying to make things more equal. Both felt they were being dismissed and grew close; confiding their frustrations in one another. Roman inspired Octavia to stand up for herself and speak out against being seen as lesser. The two decide to run away together and start a life of their own. Their arent hunted for their wings like lesser crows; so running away wasn't as scary, but they'd never been free to do as they wished before. With no expectations; the two wander the world in search of a home and the Kokai clan is perfect for them. Octativa and Roman have many nests together.

The Effluvial Crow’s trademark contagion. A distinctly bittersweet smell swiftly accompanies it once secreted from their claws, trailing a line of black smoke in its wake.
If afflicted, enhanced strength, fever, dizziness and confusion are among the first symptoms to develop. Once it has fully incubated within its new host, one final symptom will appear at last--uncontrollable bloodlust.
This strain is used to goad the Effluvial Crow’s opponent into attacking without pretense, allowing them both to engage in what is considered a “pure fight.” Healing potions only serve to strengthen the infection’s effects, speeding up what is already a dangerously quick process.
The greater the lifeforce of the victim, the hotter the disease burns, until at last, the victim's body succumbs from physical strain, unable to keep up with their own rampaging madness.
This type of strain is able to be used on all members of the Crow family with exception to the Effluvial Crows themselves--who are naturally immune. It is delivered via a puncture from their claws.

They are able to tell individual apart from individual at a glance, and are more attuned to the ways of fortune telling using said feathers. Their readings have an uncanny way of being fairly close to home.

A Lesser Crow latent perk. So long as these individuals survive the early stages of life and past their no doubt tumultuous adolescence, they are quite sure to thrive. They carry with them a high potential that only becomes greater with time--promising them places somewhere along the top--as long as they can effectively cultivate their strengths and cull their weaknesses.
