When you are a minor deity you can be forgiven for a lot of things. But dragons’ patience is a finite resource. Soleil, the spirit of the sun, had learnt that the hard way.

Once, he resided in the Sunbeam Ruins, treating the whole region as if it was his sole domain. But one day the dragons, that had to deal with his arrogance and constant eruptions of rage at the slightest provocation, banded together to oust the troublesome demi-god. Soleil was forced to flee into the Tangled Woods. He loathed the Shadowbinder’s realm, as it was contrary to his very nature. Slowly, he adjusted when he found and joined the clan Starlit Hearth. The dragons of this clan took in disgraced Soleil and showed him how to survive the murky sprawl of Tangled Woods.

After a while of living with the clan, Soleil was reunited with a face that had all but disappeared from his memory. His twin brother Luna, deity of the moon. Standing there in the entrance of the Hearth. When the two were created, Luna was the first to ascend down from the heavens, so Soleil never knew where his twin ended up in the continent of Sornieth. Yet here he was, as graceful and serene as ever. Needless to say, Soleil has been considerably happier now that he has his other half with him. Even though they're twins, Luna has always been the more mature of the two, so Soleil was always looking up to him and going to him for advice.

At times, he can still be impulsive, brusque and full of himself as only a deity is able to. But nowadays he gets along with his clanmates much better than before his exile. Maybe it is because he started directing his anger more towards Beastclans instead of other dragons, and he is ruthless and tireless in battle. Many Harpies, Centaurs, Serthis and even Maren, has met the fiery wrath of the sun spirit.

On a good day, Soleil can even be found socializing. His favorite thing to do is to take part in clan’s bonfires. That type of party seems to fit both his personality and his affinity with light and fire. This affinity manifests in his body that is always emitting warmth and a soft glow. The more clever clan members always invite Soleil over if the darkness and chill of the Tangled Woods gets too much, he is just perfect for warming up a cold space. They would never admit that to his face, of course.
