Clan position: Mage Mate: Clover ”I am going to invent time travel and use my magic to travel back in time and bring the Shade with me, T-Then you will all see!” His clanmates burst out in laughter. Some dragons laughed so hard that tears were coming out of their eyes. There was no way Levi could do it. His rune magic was dull in color, which was a sign of his weak magical abilities. That was something to be truly ashamed of. Levi however was determined. He would show everyone that he wasn´t weak or useless. In the Gaoler society being weak magically or physically was almost a death penalty. The society thrived upon glory maintained by catching Horrorbeasts and any remaining traces of the Shade. Someone like Levi that had neither physical strength, or strong magical powers, would be forced to do hard labor in the mines for the rest of his life. He was still young. There was still time! He could definitely prove himself worthy! He could go back in time and capture the Shade in its entirety. Then he would be finally loved and respected! So Levi ran into the library. Surely there would be answers there! The library was his sanctuary. Even if it might not hold all the answers he would at least get peace from all the ridicule. Levi spend days just reading random books. He enjoyed reading a lot as it was a source of escapism for him. He did one day stumble upon an old tome covered in strange arcane markings he had never seen. It told of ways of opening portals and travelling through them. These spells however were not easy to perform and would require hard to get ingredients. Levi would need blood from an ancient Horrorbeast to open the portal. His clan had many formidable Overseers that kept watch on the most dangerous and ancient Horrorbeasts. He would need blood from a specific Horrobeast to travel back in time to the place it originated from. Getting past those guards to get the blood would definitely be a problem though. He did have some help however, a little Ethereal Trickster familiar named Misty. Perhaps she could create a diversion? She did look a bit like a piece of the Shade, a powerful entity he had read about in some history books. The guards would definitely not pass a chance to catch her and get some glory and attention from females. Levi planned to have Misty howl loudly to get their attention while he would sneak in. So the plan was executed beautifully. Misty was a great distraction and she was able to easily slip past the guards when they attempted to capture her. She led them away from the jail cells as Levi sneaked in to get the blood. It was rather easy as the giant Horrorbeast was fast asleep. Levi was scared, and swallowed hard. He thought of all the praise he would get afterwards, all those gifts and hugs and apologies, they gave him the strength to continue. Levi wasted no time in performing the spell and opened the portal. He drew some arcane symbols on the floor with the blood and began to chant a spell. An intense magical power welled inside him and his horns started to shine a bright white light. A small portal soon opened and Levi saw a sight of the ancient times. A world before the World pillar was erected. It was beautiful. He jumped excitedly and began to fantasize of all the ways his fellow Gaolers would apologize after this. They could all kiss his feet. He would never forgive them otherwise. However his smile soon faded as a giant Horrorbeast, looking exactly like the beast he got blood, from started to emerge from the portal. The giant wolf like being stepped out as the portal closed behind it. The beast had hard scaly like fur and trails of smoke were coming out of its mouth. It`s three giant blood red eyes scanned the jail and stopped as they saw the small Gaoler in front of them. The beast let out a otherworldly growl as Levi realized he had made a huge mistake. He ran as fast as his little feet could carry him. He ran out of the jail as he felt the beat breathing down his neck. He grabbed Misty who had been waiting by the entrance into his mouth and carried her. He ran and ran for miles. He knew he could never go back. Not ever. They would soon find out what caused the beast to appear and he would be put to death for sure. So Levi ran all the way to Sunbeam ruins where he would hide for a few days. He would try to stay unnoticed and had Misty hunt food for the both of them. Levi would spend his days practicing his magic. He wished he had at least grabbed a few books while he had fled. Practicing magic without a book proved difficult. "Your magic makes beautiful sparkles. I love it!" A young Gaoler exclaimed while grinning from ear to ear. It appears Levi had attracted an audience with his magic. Well if you can call one dragon an audience. The Gaoler in question had a black and white body with a thick purple winter coat. She looked a bit messy, but she had the most beautiful eye Levi had ever seen. She introduced herself as Clover and said that she lived in a nearby clan. Clover said that everyone in the clan would surely be amazed by his talents and would defiantly welcome him with open arms. Levi looked at Misty hesitatingly. He didn`t want to cause any harm. Who knows what could happen with his unpredictable powers. However a life with a beautiful Gaoler female seemed worth the risk. -Loves reading adventure books the most -Performs and teaches simple magic tricks to hatchlings -Tells a lot of self deprecating jokes
