Black Pawn 		Luka arrived in the Tangled Wood unexpectedly one day with his sister Sadi. While his sibling elected to isolate herself from other dragons, Luka quickly warmed up to his new clan mates. In his free time, Luka has taken to learning the rules of the numerous card and dice games that are a popular pass time of the Tangled Wood's denizens. Indeed, some of the Shrikespur clan find that he is perhaps too apt a student - few now dare to wager anything that they would be grieved to lose when the young Skydancer joins the game.

Luka serves as the troop's premiere tree warden. Early on he was taken under the wing of Virgil, one of the Shrikespur's leaders and an expert botanist, who educated him extensively about the flora of the Tangled Woods. He now spends much of his time surveying the health of the dark, gnarled trees of his adopted home. When signs of rot or non-native fungus are discovered, Luka is called in to examine the disease and determine if any omens can be gleaned before carefully trimming away the sickness.

Luka doesn't speak much about his past aside from the fact that he survived a brush with an extremely deadly illness which resulted in his rather unorthodox appearance. The disease also resulted in perhaps his most distinctive trait: his permanent loud, raspy wheezing. Although he is frail in stature, Luka embodies the true spirit of his birth flight.
