____________________________________________ Friend and rival to Juste, as well as a fellow vampire hunter. Maxim wields a one-handed longsword named the Stellar Sword, and is exceptionally skilled with it. He's also proficient with a boomerang-like shuriken. Juste and Maxim trained together to compete for the Vampire Killer, but Juste always prevailed, causing Maxim to develop self-doubt towards himself and jealousy towards Juste. Maxim eventually set off on a training expedition, only to reappear two years later, covered in wounds and bearing ill news; Lydie, Juste's childhood friend and a mutual friend of Maxim's, had been kidnapped and was held in a location only Maxim knew. During his expedition, Maxim's memory had been wiped, and all he remembered was Lydie's kidnapping. He couldn't recall what had happened or how his injuries came to be. Maxim's true intentions behind the training expedition was to revive the Dark Lord by gathering his remains, defeating him and prove himself. Juste's grandfather, Simon, had done the same many years ago, except it was to rid himself of the curse Dracula placed upon him. Maxim's plan backfired, instead becoming possessed by the influence of the Dark Lord, leading to the creation of an evil Maxim, who spoke Dracula's will. Lydie's kidnapping was the doing of evil Maxim, who then wiped Maxim's memory, so Juste could be led to the castle unknowingly by evil Maxim. Depending on how Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance is played, Maxim can meet three seperate fates. Maxim is 18, and was born in 1730. ____________________________________________ |
