The Story Thus Far ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Called both the Keeper of the night Sky and the Mother of Dawn and Dusk. These titles gained from the time she normally spends active. A dragon of crepuscular nature who tends to sleep the day away. Her nights are spent in the quiet that settles over the clan as only those late to bed late to rise and nocturnal dragons remain awake. As Azura slowly maps the stars drawing hidden meaning from their configurations and how they change through the seasons and days, she often finds herself in the presence of Thurkear Kitril who spends the nights simply staring at the voids between the stars. Stories of the whispers that the darkness and voids there speak off. Due to her strange times spent awake, it isn’t rare to see her tucked away under a tree her dark form melding into the shadows. The uproars of the Pazienra clan however wake her from these naps though it is often only long enough for her to see what’s going on. Without these uproars, she is a hard dragon to wake during the day and even harder to keep her that way. Her nights however aren’t spent alone, often time others join her, Namira does so when she is working her hides late into the night to get the most supple of skins, or the right carving into a bone to be used as support. Sometimes it was Chrysanthemum who enjoyed spending the night whispering of the nightmares she would spread into the world sometimes even to the children of the tribe. Rare occasions result in her sitting beside Meridia, her niece who spends time just recapping the day for her. These often don’t finish as the dragon falls asleep mid sentence not made to stay up during the nights. The quietest of nights though when in the presence of another are spent beside her sister Jyggalag. Silence surrounding both if not for the scratch of a quill on paper, a relaxation for the insomniac leader of Pazienra. After all she would have to quiet the next day's uproar. It took days for anyone to notice though when her blessing struck her. A rapid series of changes that went unknown to the dragon who usually spent the world in a gloom that drained color away. It was Cid who had actually brought it up, asking Jyggalag if she had noticed any strange changes. It took several more days for Azura to stay awake with the rising sun, her wings spread wide for her to finally notice the change. The pattern of her scales and wings altered a sweep of jade now along her belly and horns. “Oh.” The quiet sound of astoundment would be the first time anyone had heard her voice outside of the whispered songs as the sun rose and set. “So it would seem, blessings came.” The resulting uproar over the change took days to quell. The only uproar that rivaled it was when Namira had been holding a silk scarf, it had been a present for Meridia. Azura had watched all this with a tired gaze Chrysanthemum beside her cackling madly the entire time as all dragons lost sleep. |
