Former voodoo mage


The rumors and sighting of the horrifying Emperor beast of legend had sent more than ripples of panic throughout all of Dragonkind. Even worse was whispers of the Dreaded Shaded returning once again to finish what it started.
Some panicked and ran. Some hid away. Others took action to fight back and in more ways than one. Be it through tooth and claw or magic and cunning.
One group of magic users took to a secretive but small seclusion of the Shadow territories to create their own guild and learn what they could to combat these forces and keep themselves safe. Perhaps one day they may even offer their services to others and becomes a force to be respected in due time. The sections were set, dragons were brought in, families formed and had their eggs blessed by mages in hopes they would born ready to train for arcane combat against the Emperor. Everything seemed fine...until the night it wasn't.

Sanura was just a baby when her world became too dark and too hectic to comprehend. Woken from her sleep by the frantic hushing of her mother, sound came back to her and she was suddenly fully aware of terrified screams from outside their lavish tent. Outside, she was thankfully too short to see anything going on above but one thing she did recall seeing was a dark entity looming over the small collection of fighters they had...and it was winning. Terror. Scent of blood. A body she recognized to be their nice priestess lay just beyond the exit her mother quickly rushed her through. Suddenly she was running as fast as her legs could carry her and the footsteps of her mother could no longer be heard. Tiny muscles ached and the need for rest finally won over running fro her life. She collapsed in a heap of leaves and fell asleep with the hope her mother would catch up soon and take her to a real bed.
Sanura woke to gentle Estelle nudging food in front of her. The reality set in very soon after and Sanura began to weep openly, it was clear she would never see her mother or the guild she was born into again.
As an adult she is very quiet and rather closed-off. Nikonova is the closest dragon she has to a friend and Estelle is always spoken of kindly considering she mothered Sanura as she had done so many other poor hatchlings who had no parents.
