An excitable girl bubbling with optimism, Zia is a cheerful dragon with a penchant for attempting to befriend almost anyone she meets. She is insistent in this endeavor, believing that goodness can be found in any dragon. Of course, while this can be foolishly dangerous, Zia believes that she can "sense" someone else's goodness. If she can't, she's clearly more cautious about her approach, if she even draws near them at all. She also tends to back off if things get hostile. Whether it be verbally or physically - she dislikes confrontation and would rather avoid it all together.

Zia believes her "goodness sixth sense" comes from her claim that she was born from the flowers and can hear them "speak" to her. Whether or not this is true is anyone's guess, but she earnestly insists her ability is real. Her childish disposition doesn't seem to help this; some are more inclined to believe it's just her overactive imagination, but most seem to at least humor her.

It was because of the flowers' advice and guidance that Zia was inspired to one day become strong enough to protect others. After starting her clan and reaching a total of three members - herself, Goby and Anios - the trio set off and began their training under Anios, a former mercenary. Zia training progressed steadily; though she wasn't the most skilled fighter, she could feel herself grow stronger. Unfortunately, an ambush encounter nearly ended Zia's life. Though she survived and got out of the event physically unscathed, confronting her mortality was terrifying wake up call. She realized she couldn't do this for the rest of her life - she couldn't fight. How could she fight to protect others if she was afraid for herself?

It took some time for her to recover from the shock, and not just because she nearly died; Zia had to reevaluate her dreams all together. Discouraged, she meditated, listening to the whispers of the flowers for advice. They had always guided her, warned her, consoled her... But what could she possibly do now? The flowers had inspired her to fight and aim to become a hero, but... she let them down. Would they still forgive her?

To her surprise, they did.

"You can still be a hero," she recollected the flowers' advice to Goby. "You can still inspire others to fight in your place." Battles simply couldn't be won through sheer willpower and righteousness alone; that only happened in stories. So of course, that's what Zia decided they would do: create their own stories. They would become a performance troupe that told tales of justice and heroism. It may not be what she initially wanted, but if she could make others feel the same way she does about protecting others and making the world a better place... That would be just as good.

The first dragon Zia remembers meeting, she enthusiastically accepted Goby with open wings once she learned they were the same: they simply awoke within the Viridian Labyrinth with no memories of... anything. Though the Mirror was hesitant, Zia stuck close to him, much to his timid discomfort. Thankfully, she was patient with him: even when he was afraid, she would offer nothing but encouragement and warmth. Her energetic, sometimes oblivious personality never stopped her from considering Goby's feelings. It was through this patience that Goby learned to trust Zia and that the two have formed a quiet but unbreakable bond. In fact, Zia trusts him so tremendously that he's one of the few dragons that she confides in. While many see her as cheerful in the face of any adversity, Zia tends to show off a more vulnerable side to her fellow founder, sharing her thoughts, fears and dreams with him during their quiet moments together.

Anios
After Anios coincidentally saved her and Goby from an attack in the wild, Zia was enamored with the powerful Ridgeback and her amazing strength. She followed Anios, insistent on having her join their newly formed clan. Of course, Anios saw the small Fae as a mere annoyance and simply ignored her, but Zia persisted. She begged and pleaded, telling Anios that there was good in her and listing off all of the cool things she believed Anios could do to help. Again, she refused; this time sharply telling Zia that her dreams and ideals were out of reach. Disheartened, the Fae relented, but not before parting some surprising wisdom of her own. It was touching enough that it eventually gave Anios a change of heart, convincing her to return not much later and formally join the clan. Zia was ecstatic to have her, eventually undergoing formal training with her before Zia's life-threatening incident occurred. Since then, Zia's still looked up Anios, who's taken it upon herself to protect not only Zia, but the safety of the entire clan.
