Biography

Taken in by Vaeryn when she could barely walk, a weakened Leira found herself wooed by his charisma and the sense of ease he conducted himself with in the electric wasteland where they found themselves. They bonded, and, after a time, formed a large family group of their own brood, and of those they came across in the fields of their desolate home. Their happiness, fragile though it was, was splintered by Vaeryn's inability to stay faithful. Struggling with her amnesia and faced with infidelity, and with her young sent off to the Stormcatcher for ransom, Leira broke.
She turned on Vaeryn and the multiple nests he had founded, and tore through the young. She destroyed all evidence of his leadership, of his power within their clan. Those who wished to remain loyal to Vaeryn were slaughtered, and those who saw righteousness in her rage, followed Leira. They left their homes under the Stormcatcher, and moved south, and then west, to the Ashfall Wastes.

Leira founded homes for them there, unafraid and unyielding to any who stood in their way. In their travels they acquired many new clanmates, and as their numbers grew, so did Leira's power. She never recovered the memories of her life before meeting Vaeryn, but her focus is wholly on the future, and what she has yet to accomplish.
She is brutal, strong, and resourceful, but you will not find a dragon more loyal and protective.
