Arthur

When Arthur first came to the Clan of the Flowering Glen, it was to be for a brief visit in his travels of Sornieth. His first impression was of the beauty of both the landscape, and of the dragoness Gwynevere, who was showing him the groves and streams of the territory. Though she didn't realize it, her charm and wit quickly won him over, and he resolved to stay amongst the trees. It was Arthur's deepest wish to make Gwynevere his charge, and to live happily with her, but these were quickly shattered when she revealed she already had a mate, a Pearlcatcher by the name of Lancelot. Embarrassed with her own blunder, she withdrew, leaving him to try and overcome his feelings. Though it now pained him, the Guardian still cared greatly for Gwynevere, and resolved to become a warrior and guard the clan itself, so that she could always be happy and safe, even if he couldn’t be as close a figure in her life as he had previously wished.

Gradually, after becoming more integrated into the clan, his infatuation with Gwyn began to fade. The two can still be painfully awkward around one another, but they are on friendly, if overly polite, terms. Looking back on it all, Arthur wouldn't change a thing after the fulfillment he's gained through his service to the clan. One of his closest social connections is with Joan, with whom he shares a jovial friendship. The two are very like-minded, and enjoy sharing and discussing battle tactics with one another, and testing their mettle against tough foes in the coliseum.
