Though some clans might find changes-of-leadership difficult, the transition from Leda as matriarch to Andromeda was very smooth. Not only had she been being groomed for just such a transition, but Heimdallr was there to ease things.

A close friend and occasional lover of Andromeda's (though they have never nested together), Heimdallr quelled any mild mutterings from the clan in part simply by his calm acceptance and support and in part because he made sure Andromeda was aware of any dissent as it came up. Heimdallr is universally trusted and observant to a fault; he has the uncanny knack of being able to articulate the concerns of the clan even when they're having difficulty, which makes him an extraordinary diplomat.

He is the main emissary to all allied clans and potentially allied clans, whether Beast or Dragon. It's solely because of Heimdallr's sincere courtesy, respect, and thoughtfully chosen gifts that Clan Mythos has been able to establish themselves in close proximity to both a Centaur and Maren clan, and it is through Heimdallr's contingent of ambassadors that they have been able to remain.
