___Even in his youth, Iridian showed an interest in stories. He would read any scrolls or tomes he could get his claws on, but eventually that wasn't satisfying enough and he began writing his own. He's never without his supplies and always has at least one story he's in the middle of drafting or editing.
___His skills have improved substantially over time, and he looks back on early attempts with a mixture of fondness and embarrassment. They have many issues that are plain to his more experienced eyes, but he recognizes their importance as stepping stones in his growth as a writer.

___Partly motivated by the belief that the more he experiences of life, the more it will enrich his writing, the small dragon travels extensively. Whenever he encounters another author he'll spend as much time as they're willing to spare discussing methods and asking advice, eager to hear others' views.

___The other driving force behind his constant treks is an ingrained sense of wanderlust and curiosity for the world around him. He shows a genuine interest and openness to learning about other cultures, whether dragon or beastclan, which helps him get along with almost everyone he meets. He's on good terms with several harpy clans in particular and makes a point of visiting as often as he can to catch up with friends.

___He also appreciates that harpy architecture typically isn't scaled up to accommodate his massive brethren. It's refreshing to simply cross a street without feeling like he's embarking on a new odyssey.

___Despite how regularly he travels, Iridian doesn't seem to grasp the concept of "packing light." His list of necessities includes a miniature library of stories he's collected, stacks of his own manuscripts, a surplus of writing supplies, gifts from friends, and pretty bits and baubles he's picked up along the way. The secret to how he carries a pile of luggage that dwarfs him is simple: he doesn't.

___Instead, he's cajoled his companion Gertrude into doing the heavy lifting. A roc of impressive size (at least to his eyes), she wandered into his life one day and settled in. The Veilspun welcomes her company, finding his roaming much more enjoyable with a partner at his side. As an added bonus, she makes a remarkably comfortable bed.
___The trade-off for the benefits she provides is her tendency to lay claim to any items that catch her interest. The tiny dragon knows it's best to leave her be when she gets possessive of something, and anyone who meets the duo soon learns the same. The roc can be quite intimidating and bodily objects to attempts to retrieve any valuables.

___Iridian never has to worry about thieves.
