She cried the day of the party, Idonya would be married with a child tomorrow. All she could do was watch her tears turn to snowflakes. Her brother came to visit her and she yelled at him, she felt bad now but then it had felt right.
“You told me to leave him alone! He’ll never be mine!” She had shouted.
“Artic, he’s of a higher class, he...he wouldn’t have taken you, I wanted to save you from heartbreak...” he had trailed off softly. In that moment, her heart splintered with the truth. She had spent the night outside, watching Idonya and Vermilionsnow, chat on their new balcony. Right under the Bloodice balcony, they would always be the better family. No wonder Idonya wouldn’t look at her, she couldn’t even think rationally, her brother was right it was time stop daydreaming.
