Biography

Aspara
Mage

Aspara is one of the clan mages. She is near silent, and specializes in illusions. In fact, her true, blood-red color is hidden, and turned more of a purple. She has no children or a mate. Aspara was previously an assassin under the name "Bloodshadow". Her final goal, her masterpiece, her legacy, was to kill her nemesis Jarkiv, also known as The Spider. He was the only dragon who knew of her role as Bloodshadow, and so he had to be killed. When she arrived, she planned on a mass murder of him and all his associates. But when she arrived, she only saw him helping people who needed it. Whether it was legal or not, he was better than her, as she only sought vengeance. So she abandoned her old name, and decided to start over at Starfall Isles. After mastering illusions, Aspara hid her blood-red scales and travelled the world, finally settling in the Viridian Labyrinth. The Flamecaller puppet that she owns was sent to her by her son, Lucifer, who lives in the Ashfall Waste.

Dear mother, father, and clan,

This is Lucifer. Just writing to let you know I've arrived in the Ashfall Waste safely. It's much hotter here and the vegetation more sparse, but it's got a certain beauty to it. The lair is located at the base of the Great Furnace, a volcano that gives the Behemoth a run for its foliage in terms of size. I'm not sure which is bigger, truthfully. I can see myself missing the trees, but at least I blend in better near the hot kilns than at home.

This clan seems to be focused more on war than peace, and I'm not sure where I fit into all of this but I'll make do. I'd expected to meet with the clan's leaders, but the patriarch can scarcely be seen for more than a few seconds in passing and seems to be very busy with martial duties. The matriarch has been booked up in inter-clan meetings of a serious nature and I haven't managed to catch even that much of a glimpse. It's of little matter to me, I suppose, as I'm neither a soldier nor high-ranking. The dragons I have met seem odd but friendly. One of the guard in my part of the lair, a fine specimen of an Imperial, is a surprisingly cheerful conversationalist and is not averse to pleasant exchanges or giving directions when I need them. He says that his services in the lair itself are rare occurrences and he's more of a deterrent than anything. I won't lie, that did put me more at ease.

Interestingly, I'm not the only Nature dragon here that keeps true to our ways or misses the whisper of the trees. I've made acquaintance with a few dragons that work on making parts of the lair into pockets of the wild for others to enjoy, including a very charming ridgeback by the name of Sibyxu. She seemed eager to speak with someone from her home flight and we spent quite a bit of time chatting and catching each other up on the news of our respective realms. It seems her duties have been thin lately, so I can see her being an invaluable asset in getting settled here without stepping on too many tails. It's an additional delight that she is not at all unpleasant to look at, though I believe I will keep that one between myself and the readers of this letter.

Currently, it's evening here but the volcano keeps the stone walls very warm without being oppressively so. The wing was meant for non-Fire natives, I believe. The nesting area is clearly of foreign make, and I'm sitting at a (wooden!) desk that was in my room when I arrived. I think it was meant for a snapper and it's not a perfect fit for work, but it gets the job done. If you'd like I can keep you posted on any interesting happenings here, though it seems to be fairly routine and humdrum if the residents are accurate. In the meantime, I've sent some things along that perhaps you can make use of, including rich volcanic soil for the gardens and some flowers native to this area. Regardless of distance, please be secure in the knowledge that I am well and that I love you all very much.

Yours truly,

Lucifer
