B I O G R A P H Y

______ When she hasn’t been alerted to a dragon in the blizzard, Glacia can often be found chatting with the other dragons in the clan. At first glance, she appears to be a completely normal dragon. However, looking closer will reveal that her body is actually made of ice. Glacia used to be one of the dragons that tried to steal Glacier’s tome, and got frozen alive trying. She spent many years as a simple, lifeless statue, until one day, Adair came across her. He didn’t know the story of how she came to be frozen and assumed she had simply gotten caught in a blizzard. He took pity on her and used his own magic to give her life again. However, she had lost all memory of her previous life when she came back, becoming a completely different dragon. As Adair was the only dragon she knew after being revived and because he was the one who revived her, Glacia came to view Adair as her father and travelled with him across Sornieth before they eventually came across the Frostfall Village. It was there that the two of them met Glacier, who immediately recognised Glacia as one of the statues their magic could make. Thinking she had come to steal their tome, Glacier revealed the truth of what had happened to Adair and Glacia. Horrified, Glacia immediately apologised to Glacier and decided to stay in the village to protect it as atonement for her previous actions. Adair, believing in giving his daughter a second chance, managed to convince Glacier to agree and he spent some time in the village with her before deciding to travel again with the Winds of Frostfall, although by that point Glacia had grown to genuinely love the village and decided to stay.

______ Glacia is a rather cheerful and outgoing dragon, having made many friends in the village. She spends her time off her job talking with them and helping them with their own tasks. However, she does have a ruthless and serious side to her. When Glacier has sensed a dragon trying to get through the blizzard and reach the village, they will inform Glacia, who immediately goes in to find the dragon in question. If the dragon appears to simply be curious about what lies beyond the blizzard, she will guide them to the village, with Scarlet as an additional guard in case Glacia has misjudged. If Glacia thinks that the dragon is there to attack the village or any of its inhabitants in some way however, she will immediately kill them. She doesn’t enjoy doing it, but tries to convince herself that it’s for the best as they would have died in the blizzard anyway, which is much more painful. As Glacia is made of ice, she doesn’t have a need to eat or drink, but chooses to do so anyway. She’s also unable to feel the cold, which is why she can go into the blizzard without fear of dying. However, she does not do well in heat, and while she cannot melt, she gets tired very easily and it feels very unpleasant.
