Fallow

Fallow was a simple dragon, he would wake up at dawn and tend to his plants before returning to his den. It was a simple life for a simple dragon. And he thrived in the routine knowing he provided pivotal job to the clan. He loved knowing he was providing food and resources for the clan. Plants were hard to grow in the wastes, but some hardy ones grew for both food and medicine.

Later on he would find love within his life, Ode coming into his life celebrating all the little things. He feel head over tail for her, finding beauty in her way of thinking knowing it reflected his own. He was a dragon of little words so he showed his love and appreciation mostly through gifts and soft touches.

The greatest thing he did was a simple gesture, but one he spent weeks agonizing over. So one day when the field was silent and only a gentle breeze would carry his voice he sung. It was a low tone and he knew his voice could never match Ode's. But he stole a glance to the nocturne to see a look of utter amazement on her face and he nearly wavered right there and then. But he powered through with the soft love song and confession.

And when he finished and Ode said yes he couldn't quite help the feeling of love and relief from springing to his eyes.
