"She was different."
She was different from the moment Iolanthe found her unhatched egg, abandoned, in a clearing deep in the shadowy Tangled Wood. The egg, beautiful as it was, was so much larger than any egg the experienced dragoness had ever seen.

But it was clear to the dragoness this eggling was abandoned. And, upon her hatching Iolanthe was stunned to see how differrent baby Amka was. This did not stop her from loving her, cherisining her and overall treating her like one of the other babies that the Matron of the Nebulous Clan adopted.

Utilitarian, large, and powerful Amka is the jailer of the Nebulous Clan. Her imposing form, and non-nonsense demeanor leave little to be desired. She feels like this career is a natural fit for her. Which, indeed, might be the case.
