Blackdawn's story is as odd and upsettling as the dragon himself: He was rescued by Winterspirit from a group of mad Arcane dragons who wanted to kill the young Gaoler hatchling, saying he was an abomination and that he caused misfortune just by existing. After saving him, Winterspirit brought the hatchling back with her to the clan.
Blackdawn couldn't answer as to what was that all about or where his parents were. He said that when he tried to remember who and where his mom and dad were, all he could remember was a weird pink dust, a sweet smell of flowers and a disturbing blood-stained smile of large and sharp teeth. Both Hailstorm and Winterspirit assured the confused hatchling that those weird memories were nothing but dreams and nightmares, but no one still has any clue as to where his parents are, why they abandoned him or why the other Arcane flight dragons were so scared of him...
