Aonani came to the Red Forge clan after being cast out from her old clan. Her old clan got rid of her because what use was a blind mage to a clan where the majority of the magic came from reading. After wandering about the forest by the Red Forge clan a black and red Mirror named Catastrophe came to her aid. The two have been friends every since.

She got the runs on her scales the same time she was blinded. She was about to read one of Lightweavers spells, when she opened the scroll light shot from it and blinded Aonani. The runes also appeared on her black scales. They seem to glow on and off according to her mood.

Aonani is also very, very, VERY, good at hide and seek. She can sense your movements and "see" your shadows. Her specialty in the Clan if making small trinkets that when you put them in the light just right they shine a story. They're a hit a local markets. She is also the clans Light ambassador. If you need to find her she will most likely be hanging out or cuddling with Catastrophe, who she affectionately calls Castra.
