Biography

Dusk- Fisher Captain- The River's Peace

Theme Song

Mate: Kinglsey (only one he's really nice to)

Quirk: Talks in sleep way more than when she's awake.

Dusk is the head of the fishing division, and is a skilled fisherman. She gets along well with the other Coatls of the clan, although her relationship with Melody is strained. Regardless, Dusk is good at what she does, and while she isn't the most social butterfly, her loyalty doesn't waver. She is a dragon who prefers to listen rather than talk, but when she finally speaks up, her orders are rarely questioned.

Dusk was born in the hot deserts of the Shifting Expanse. She matured very quickly for her age, coming up with all sorts of contraptions and gizmos to help her Clan. However, she had no interest in remaining there, listening to the Stormcatcher bark orders at her. In addition, many dragons thought that Dusk's skills could be used for crafting weapons. However, Dusk was a pacifist- she would only fight as a last resort. She decided to wander the world until she could find a place to settle down.

Dusk became a wandering merchant, selling her various contraptions to dragons in need for reasonable treasure prices. Some of her mechanisms could catch food for dragons. She could also design backscratchers, heaters, and minor enhancements. In addition, she could put small parts together in case a dragon needed a specific part. Investing in a small cart and supplies, Dusk roamed the world, seeing the different sections and selling her wares. Dusk's renown grew, but with it came a price. While many dragons came because they needed help, others had less than good intentions. Some of Dusk's trinkets and creations were bought and then modified into weapons, or the designs would be improved and sold to other dragons for higher prices. Dusk watched as her good deeds were abused by the greedy and violent. She closed up her cart and left the business behind.

Dusk wandered along the shores, using her final mechanisms to help her catch fish. There she was found by Sunset. The two fished together for an afternoon. Dusk told Sunset almost everything- how she had left her clan and wished to pursue a life of peace. Unfortunately, her kind nature was abused. Sunset responded by telling Dusk of her life in the Azeryx Clan. By the time the moon had risen, Sunset had grown fond of the Coatl. She invited Dusk to join the Clan. But Dusk had heard stories of the Azeryx Clan's warriors and guards- she wasn't ready to let herself be fooled. Sunset was disappointed when Dusk declined to join- but she wasn't ready to give up.

The next day, Dusk was roused from her sleep by Sunset. The Imperial offered to show Dusk the way of life in Azeryx. Dusk and Sunset flew to the lair, and Dusk was shocked by how peaceful these dragons were. Dusk, who had been worrying about who would care for her in her final days, expressed that she wished to reconsider her answer to Sunset. She was afraid of her simple mechanisms being used for weapons.

Little did Dusk know, Sunset just wanted her to catch fish. Surprised and much more pleased, Dusk accepted.

Dusk is very reserved, but the elder dragons are often able to get her to open up a bit, along with Kingsley and Lumiyo. Her relationship with Kingsley is a topic of much gossip and debate, and she seems to be the only dragon (along with perhaps his father) that hasn't felt the harsh side of his tongue.

Dusk guarded the lair during the Bringer War, and survived. She is currently hard at work helping the other dragons recover.

"She speaks through her actions, not words." -Sunset

"She's so quiet and weird. But she's still a comfort to have around, I guess." -Neon.

"I know my duty." -Dusk, speaking no more than usual.
