Same traits as the Cherubs, but are typically adult dragons and eye-type isn’t as “important”.





Adult dragons who share all traits with Cherubs except their youth and “birth method”. They were likely visited by a Cherub as an egg.

Something about the unborn dragon pleased the Cherub—and possibly the Plaguemother—and the dragon was marked as Protected.

Protected dragons have a heightened connection to the Plaguebringer, more so than other Plague dragons; they’re stronger in battle and of constitution, and have an easier time traversing the Scarred Wasteland.

While Cherubs by themselves are often solitary creatures, they flock to Protected dragons. Seemingly soothed by their presence. It wouldn’t be uncommon to see a sleeping Protected also surrounded by napping Cherubs, if Cherubs didn’t typically hiss and run off when spotted.
