Biography
N A M E C L A N - R O L E TRAIT – TRAIT – TRAIT |
Milan was the pride of her people. Coming from a long line of brute hunters, her kin were surprised when she grew up to be much more petite than her brothers and sisters. However, no one could have predicted how much stronger it would make her. Her mentality changed alongside her body, favouring using her senses to find and catch prey, instead of the usual blind charge. But this didn't mean that she didn't pack a punch. Once Milan had locked onto you, all you could do was pray, and hope he makes it quick. And she always did, somehow knowing exactly where to land the blow. She was truly gifted, her peers believing that she was a gift from Tidelord. However, the thing about being on the top, is that it never fails to be a deadly fall. Every few moons, her kin held a feast in honour of the most skilled hunter in the tribe, and of course, it was Milan. The true draw of the feast was the Qualifier. A battle between Milan and whoever thinks they could take her. Amongst these contenders, was her brother, Gil. Gil was always jealous of her, but she never thought he would take it this far. Not wanting to hurt her brother, she restrained herself. But Gil, did not. He charged at her, and slash after slash, he showed no mercy. All she could she was the hate in his eyes as he took the final blow. When she awoke, she knew that she was alone. Left to die. Gil was better, after all. Such was the way of the tribe. However, she couldn't help but curl up and cry. Suddenly, she heard a thud, followed by clawsteps. Was it her brother, coming to finish the job? "Just do it, brother. Put me out of my misery." "I'm afraid you have the wrong guy. I want to help you." "Why would you? I have nothing left to offer." Milan cried. "My offer is quite simple. Would you like to live, or die?" Asked the stranger. Milan sat up with a groan to look at the stranger, and was confused when she saw an unfamiliar face. "What's the catch?" "I wouldn't call it a catch. I heal you, and you become my mate." "Ew. No thanks. I would rather die." "Alright, that's a little hurtful. Think about it. You can start a new life with me, forget about your past." Milan let out a long sigh. He was right, she didn't have anyone waiting for her anymore. "I can't believe I'm going to do this." "Yes!" "Don't get ahead of yourself, scrawny. There are rules. You can't call me your mate in public, you will only address me as Milan, no more, no less, and you sleep outside. Got it?" He nodded, a smile on his face. "By the way, I'm Viper." "Don't care." And so, all healed up, she joined the stranger on the moon-long journey back to his clan. Against all odds, they genuinely started to care for each other in this short time. Viper began to see Milan's heart, buried under her thick skin. And as such, Milan began to see his mind, and his somewhat odd worldview. As they finally reached the clan, Viper broke down. "What's wrong?" "I feel awful. You never should've gone with me. You're free to go, and just forget all this." He cried. "Aw, scrawny. I'm not going anywhere." "Really?" He sobbed, nestling into her. Everyone staring at them, Milan uncomfortably patted his back with her tail. "Yes, really. Now go, before I change my mind." She chuckled as he rushed to the dens to find his. "Whoa. Hi, big fella! What's your name?" Asked a hatchling. eyes wide. She smiled, confidently answering: "I am Milan." |
