Archleone's Past

Joining the Overseer order at a young age, Archleon was highly respected for her skills in combat. Often away from the rest of her clan with her comrades, she fiercely fought the Horrorbeasts threatening the clans. Comfort was not a aspect in her life, and like all Gaolers, she was duty-bound to defend the other dragons from threats.

"Ushio is dead!" The chant seemed to rise through the air, sorrow and emotion mixed into the chant, inviting me to join.
"Another one taken by the Shade, its the second one this cycle," Aureus whispered to me.
The chanting stopped as Serenity, my Overseer friend shouted,
"There are claw marks all over her body, and they were clearly made by one of us! Silence seemed to greet her words as my clan seemed to make sense of her words. The claw marks were were made by one of us. The claw marks were made by one of us. The claw marks were made by one of us echoed through my head.

The crowd started parting, making a clear pathway as Aureus and I headed toward the body, steady determination on her face as we started to investigate, looking for evidence, or any sign on who the murderer may be. Aureus suddenly turned toward me, eyes wide.

"Your fur is in between the scratches Archleone. Did you murder her? Did you murder her Archleone?" Dread had wormed its way in my body as I stared in horror at what appeared to be magenta-black fur in the scratches crisscrossing its way across Ushio's mane.
"I didn't do it Aureus. You know I would never dream of hurting any of our clan mates right?" I replied, hoping she would know. Know that I would never hurt our clan. Especially one of our great warriors.
"Archleone," she replied sadly, "I may believe you, but our clan won't. You'll be banished, maybe even killed. I can't, won't, keep anything from the clan, and you know it. Even if I do, they'll send someone else to investigate, and you'll be deemed a murderer. Our clan doesn't forgive. We must be pure and trustworthy for we are guardians, protectors."
"There are signs that Archleone killed Ushio," Aureus shouted, giving no chance to reply.

Eyes turned to look at me, hostile and furious as they glared at me.
"Banish! Banish! Banish!" The chant rose from the watching dragons. Then Serenity stepped up. "Archleone." Her voice boomed over the watching dragons, silencing them. "You will be banished for failing your duty and committing murder. You will never step another foot onto this land, never to be seen near this place again. If you do decide to come back, you will be rewarded with death. Now leave.

My limbs refused to move as I stood there. Then the hoard of Gaolers charged toward me, claws out, ready to kill me. Then my muscles moved on their own accord as I started to flee, claws tearing at my fur, slashing at me, making long, burning crimson cuts where they left.
There! The end of the territory! I just have to get into the forbidden forest...
"I'm safe," a whispered to myself as I collapsed on the forest floor, pain searing through my limbs as I was pulled into oblivion.

When I woke up, pain greeted me as I groaned and tried to stand up. They weren't as bad as they were before, but still hurt like hell. "Damn. Whoever framed me will pay," I muttered angrily as I took in my surroundings.
"You all write Archleone? We tended to a bit of your wounds while you were unconscious."
Spinning around, I spotted my friends sitting near a tree. Serenity and Aureus.
"What are you guys doing here, following me into banishment. You should have just stayed and lived a better life than I will!"
"Well, we both believed that you would never commit murder and felt our clan was being unfair so we followed you. Secretly. And now that we're here anyways, you might as well let us help you. Come on. We found a cave you can rest in while we get food. Its about 5 feet left from you, easily accessible, we'll be right back."
Painfully, I trudged over to the medium sized cave and put rested my head on the large stone grounds. Maybe this wouldn't be as bad as I thought.

I awoke to the smell of food wafting beside me. I jumped to my feet, gobbled the meat up, and ignoring the pain, went outside to see if I could find Serenity and Aureus. Stopping at the entrance, I heard voices outside of my comrades and a... strange dragon.
"-Doing here" Aureus.
"Hunting, scavenging for food" came a strong, loud reply. The strange dragon. "I'm trying to get food for the dragons in my clan."
"And what clan may that be?"
"For my new clan, made of almost all the dragon species living together. We support each other and care about each other. You guys seem..." He hesitates. "Lonely. You can join us if you want. I'm sure Storm won't mind as she is looking to make the clan bigger. If you come with me, you can check out our clan and decide if you want to join us."
I stepped put of the shelter of the cave and headed straight for the spring-green dragon.
"Why should we join you, or even follow you?" I spat.
"You should follow me because... three of your kind also lives with us and you might want to meet them. It doesn't seem like you join others too often."

"Fine. Lead us to your... clan. This better be worth our time, peasant"
Regarding us warily, the dragon started to fly south, Aureus, Serenity and I running after him, paws thudding the ground. Minutes later, the small, spring-green dragon stopped.
"We're here," he told us then walked in, beckoning us to follow. Taking a deep breath, I walked in, my friends and comrades following behind me, footsteps echoing back and up makeshift stairs.

I stopped as I looked around, dragons were talking, laughing with each other in a large sheltered area. In the area, there were ledges to look below, at the canopy of trees, the juicy animals. Feeling as if I was being watched, I looked around. And spotted familiar shapes, sitting in a corner, looking at me. A dark spotted male Gaoler, large horns curling in at its ends protruding from his head stared at me. Another male Gaoler, this one with white-cyan fur, talked animatedly with a small, dark grey Gaoler hatchling. I had started walking toward the group, as Serenity and Aureus followed me, speaking in hushed whispers.
"Hi," I said nervously as I reached the group. "My name is Archleone, and I'd like to join your clan."

Personality
Archleone is kind, caring, compassionate and trustworthy. She has a soft heart and hates to see others suffer. Archleone can also be fierce and determined, amazing at keeping secrets and always the dragon to talk to when feeling down. But with all these good attributes come bad ones. She is also arrogant and overprotective, and may seem cold and cruel like a ice statue and very pessimistic during bad times/days. She's just a bit too careless and overconfident at times, hates being bossed around and loves being a leader. She adjusts quickly to surroundings, adapting to them like most of her kin. Archleone is usually optimistic and a fun (maybe annoying) dragon to be around.
