Halo turned her head, sensing something she didn't quite understand. It was a longing, one stronger than any she had ever felt before. She knew what missing a mate, and the loss of a loved one was, but this was different. It was if her heart was desperate to escape her chest and it pulled her up from where she was resting.

Deep inside the safety of the Tangled Wood, another wakes. She turns her head and tries to figure out what woke her up. Her companions were all still dreaming, and she carefully stepped around their sleeping bodies. She quietly makes her way up the many tunnels that lead to the brambles that protect her den. She sits and stares up at the stars, with a longing in her heart.
