Biography

Cynara

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cynara had been born from that of a great clan leader; Klaeod, the male Mirror had high hopes for Cynara and wanted him to lead a strong and proud life. Cynara's father taught him how to hunt and act like a proper Mirror, showing aggression when needed and kindness to all others who deserved it. Though Cynara was raised to be a warrior and lead a clan of his own, he never felt like it was who he really was. When he would express his thoughts of wanting to roam the land of Sornieth and make his own path by himself, his father was displeased, saying that Mirror's stuck together and were not loners, but his mother, BloodAura, managed to talk his father down, soon they both accepted Cynara's request for adventure.
Starting out, Cynara had no clue where to go, he was still unsure about traveling, but he knew it was what he truly wanted. The Mirror wandered The Shifting Expanse for almost a week before finally gathering the courage to push himself into the outside world. The first place he went was The Ashfall Waste, not being a fan of the immense heat, he quickly decided to move on and journey to The Scarred Wasteland, having heard stories of how The Mirrors had originated from The Abiding Boneyard and wanted to see his place of origin. Once he arrived he immediately decided it was not the place for him. The rot and and filth that plagued the land just felt like a bad omen to him.
Cynara had nearly given up hope on trying to find a place that interested him, until he came upon Dragonhome. Exploring Greatwyrm's Breach and discovering the deep history it held. As Cynara sat upon a stone, staring at the great murals on the past, a thought came to his mind. Perhaps this was what he was meant to do, travel the land of Sornieth, discover the true History behind everything that made up his world, and share it with others. Though he had never heard of a Mirror ever becoming a Scholar, but there was always a first time for everything, and it sure sounded like a life filled with adventure.
After nearly a year of traveling and discovering so many secrets about the Deities and the land beneath his feet; Cynara found himself in the Cloudscrape Crags of The Southern Icefield. It was cold here and he was glad he had bought himself a thick winter coat before scavenging this land, otherwise he might have become a Mirror-sicle. It was growing dark and the cold was only getting colder, luckily the bright Sky Lights were illuminating the snow around him, making it possible for him to navigate his way around. Just as he was about to stop for the night, the Mirror saw a light in the distance, easily three klicks away. It looked like it was coming from a rather large cave den. Cynara thought to himself, 'Perhaps there is someone inside who would be willing to share some warmth for the night.'
Cynara made his way towards the den, hearing commotion inside, it sounded like that of laughter and cheer. 'Easy enough place to find shelter for the night.' He thought to himself. Approaching the den he stood face to face with a large, rather fluffy, beast. Cynara instantly recognized it as a Gaoler, he had come in contact with a few on his journeys. Only once had been a pleasant experience. Once seeing the large ancient dragon, Cynara was ready to turn around and make his way away, when the Gaoler saw him. Cynara stopped dead flight and instantly landed on the snow, bowing his head to the beast. "Forgive me for intruding, but I was just traveling through this mountain pass when I saw a light, and was hoping to find shelter for the night. Though I would hate to impose on anything." The Mirror had managed to pick up on a few of the other dragon languages on his travels, though it was still broken and guttural, Cynara did his best to speak in the Gaoler's native tongue, hoping as not to offend him. Though he was taken aback when the other responded back in clear Common language. "You wouldn't be imposing in the slightest. My father's clan is open to all travelers that seek shelter from the cold. Please, come inside and get warm, there is plenty of food as well. Make yourself comfortable, I will tell my father of your arrival." The Gaoler stood to the side, allowing Cynara to pass by, the Mirror looked him up and down before making his way forward.
Stepping inside the large den, light and music filled the Mirror's senses. There were dragons of all types packed in the cave, the Ancient Gaolers, the Mysterious Skydancers, the Phenomenal Imperials, the tiny Fae, and more. But, as he looked around, there was only a single Mirror. A small female, perched in the great horns of a rather large Gaoler, who looked like he might have been the leader. The Gaoler who have greeted him at the entrance of the cave walked up to the other great beast, bowing his head. "Father, I bring a guest. He is seeking shelter for the night." The hulking male slowly got up, the Mirror perched upon his horns gliding down to sit by the great fire in the middle of the den. "Welcome." Said the tall male, his accent was heavy and his Common was extremely broken, but it sounded like he was trying his best, thought Cynara. "My name is Malakai, and my son, Kyou has informed me that you would like a place to stay. Feel free to stay as long as you wish, we have plenty of resources to accommodate you." Cynara smiled, bowing his head, "Thank you sir, but I only require one night, as I have been traveling for many of moons and am rather tired and cold." Malakai tilted his great head out of curiosity, "Are you a scavenger?" He asked, Mirrors were usually known and accused of such ways of life, but the Gaoler's question seemed innocent in his way of asking. Cynara gave a chuckle, raising his head, "No sir, I am but a humble Scholar. Seeking history, and spreading word." The leader gave his own hearty chuckle. "I see. Please enjoy our bounty and make yourself comfortable." The large male took his seat back by the hearth fire as Cynara looked to find himself a decent nest for the night.
When morning came and the clan was eating together, Cynara noticed the feamale Mirror eating by herself. She looked up, catching Cynara's gaze and quickly tried to look away, causing Cynara to smirk to himself. Coming over to sit next to her, he tried for a smile and a welcome "Hello there.. It's rather odd to find only one Mirror in a clan like this. Do you not miss your own kind?" The female looked at the him, fire and sass in her voice, "Excuse me? My own kind? My egg had been abandoned to freeze. Had my own kind had wanted me, then they never would have left me." She looked away. "I was lucky to be accepted into this place. The surrounding area has enough food for years, I can hunt and explore whenever I feel like it. I am quite happy here." The male chuckled at her response, giving a sharp, toothy grin, he liked this woman's fire, "Well, perhaps to make you feel not so left out by your 'own kind', perhaps I shall stay. You might need a hunting partner." Firenza scoffed at the answer and flew off to a different area of the den, Cynara stealed himself a small chuckle.
A month later the two grew closer, at first it was only Cynara attempting to get the female's attention, only resulting in her turning away and ignoring his advances. Though it only took a few weeks until she finally gave in and began talking to the other. After spending time together they grew close... And soon two new eggs appeared in the den. Cynara took over hunting for his new mate and the rest of the clan whilst Firenza watched over their two new eggs.
