Bio: Neptune was once best friends with Gresh, and while on an outing, the two ran into the shade.
The Shade, interested in new servants, attempted to possess the duo. Being the bigger of the two, Neptune shielded Gresh from the Shade, telling him to flee while he could. Gresh, while not a coward, fled, knowing that it'd be better for the both of them if he managed to escape now to get help for later. The Shade however, wanted both dragons, and after gaining control over Neptune, sent him after Gresh. Gresh was at first confused to see his friend okay, but when the shade spilled out of Neptune to possess Gresh, he realized what was going on. Weak from being taken, Neptune lay helpless on the ground. Gresh was strong enough to fight off the shade, though at the cost of his mentality, and fled. The Shade deciding to take what it could get, quickly repossessed Neptune.

As a servant of the Shade, Neptune became known as Ranger, and he went for quite a personality change. Instead of being the quiet, warm, shy, and friendly dragon he normally was, he became cunning, cold, calculative, charming and charismatic. A perfect pawn for the shade to use to possess even more dragons. Ranger quickly became one of the Shade's best agents, charming, deceiving, and isolating dragons left and right, and no one ever saw his true allegiances until too late. The only hint of his alliance being his fire, which came out purple/blue instead of orange due to the shade's influence.

One day, the Shade heard of a perfect opportunity to convert a multitude of dragons at once and quickly dispatched Ranger. The opportunity? A team of dragons going to find a lost treasure that granted much power. Ranger quickly made himself a party member and went off. Unfortunately, a now mad Gresh had also stumbled across the party, and had begun to follow them due to not knowing a greater purpose. The shade initially failed due to Gresh's interference which resurffaced Neptune who fought a mental battle with Ranger. Momentarily back in control of himself, Neptune told the party to flee while they could. The Shade quickly regained control however, and sent Ranger after them. After a long and heartfelt struggle, Neptune was freed from the shade.

Concerned for their party memeber's health, the rest of the party got information from the deranged Gresh where Neptune was from, and took the unconscious wildclaw back to his clan, where with the help of many healers, both he and Gresh were healed.

Not remembering anything that had happened, Gresh wanted to resume his friendshipt with Neptune. Neptune however, depressed and overcome with guilt pushed his friend away, not wanting to hurt him.

Over time Neptune grew to accept what had happened, and was met with much sympathy from the clan, however his guilt never went away and Neptune withdrew into himself. The only dragons he now has any sort of relationship with is Wenjo, Aquaris, Praeclara and Salacia, and even then, he still pushes them away.

Personality: Originally, Neptune was quite warm and friendly, if a bit shy. After his dilemma with the shade, he harbors much angst and is often aloof and nonchalant which leads to many dragons now disliking him.
